Coats trend winter 2012-2013

Every season has its beauty and is special. Even that people preferences are different, everybody want to look good in summer and in winter. Maybe for someone summer offer more alternatives of clothes, dresses, skirts, colors etc than winter, but that’s not totally true. 

I personally love winter, love winter coats, boots, and scarves. I wear color even in winter. So ladies don’t worry, get informed and read about latest trends of this year to be in vogue despite of the cold weather. 

Today we are going to talk about coats. Coats are a must in everyone wardrobe, women or men. 

What coat to wear this winter?

1. Military coats

This style is in vogue not only for coats but also for jackets. It’s seen on the catwalk of Burberry, Tommy Hilfiger, Victoria Beckham or Altuzarra designer. Double-pet with medium length, short or up to knee, you can pair it with belts or knee-high boots.

2. Collarless coats

These coats are retro or vintage style inspiration. They are feminine and come in different fabrics and colors. Pair it with a warm scarf and your look is just perfect. 

3. Oversized coats

Stop wearing small fitted coats. Try this year an oversized one with large shoulders and medium length. To avoid an exaggerated look, pair it with skinny jeans or leggings, ankle boots and a chic camisole. This masculine style was seen in Chanel, Stella McCartney and Jil Sanders’s collection. 

4. Cape coats

Cape coats are not so popular like the other styles, but they are in vogue this season. If you are fan of elegance, chic and classic style this is perfect for you. Go for a neutral color, like camel or grey to slim your silhouette. Also wear it with fitted dress, skinny pants to balance your figure. 

5. Texture coats

Go for 3D-chic in plush broc ades, downy furs and country club tweeds. Try your old mum’s coat, even if you always think they were so old fashioned and useless, today you will think different. Designers like:DSquared 2, Dries Van Noten and Altuzarra had this coats in their collections.

6. Embroidered coats

These are luxury coats that give you a chic and noble look. Of course they are not appropriate for everyday life but for special occasions or events they are perfect. You can choose from Valentino, Oscar de la Renta or Chanel styles.
